VS.Php for Visual Studio 2008 is designed for those who own Visual Studio 2008 or are interested in using the free Visual Studio 2008 shell. This installer will install the Visual Studio 2008 shell if you don't have Visual Studio installed or you have one of the free Express editions.

VS.Php for Visual Studio 2005 is designed for those who own Visual Studio 2005. This is the version you should use if you are an existing standalone edition customer and qualify for a free upgrade. This installer will install the Visual Studio 2005 shell if you don't have Visual Studio installed.
