I can't seem to find a setting for auto-brace matching. I always like when an editor automatically puts in a closing brace as soon as I hit enter after typing an opening brace. Does VS.PHP have this feature?

Another related question I have is... you know how an editor like Notepad++ highlights matching tags or braces when you have the cursor on them? Like, for example, you put the cursor over a table tag and it highlights the tag and it's closing table tag further down in the code. Does VS.PHP do that? Is there a setting to make that happen? Or is there another way to check (other than thoroughly inspecting the code) whether or not you've closed a tag or brace?

After messing around I can answer my own question on this one... it depends how the file is saved. For instance, if you save the file as a PHP file then it won't highlight HTML tags. But if it's saved as HTML it does. I'm used to Notepad++ where it doesn't matter how it's saved.

I'm still curious about the auto-brace matching though. Haven't cracked that one yet...

When you save as an HTML file you are using the HTML editor which is very rich. When you save in PHP, you are using the PHP editor which is very rich for PHP code but limited HTML support.

We do bracket matching for PHP code but we have limited support for HTML code inside PHP files.

I'm cool with the HTML but are you saying that VS.PHP does do auto-brace matching or just brackets? Either way, do you have to manually enable this functionality? It's not happening automatically for me and I can't find an option in preferences to turn it on or something.

Great product so far, though. Totally what I was looking for.

If you put the cursor on a { or } the matching bracket will be highlighted.

Okay. I see that. But what I was asking about is if your plug-in automatically adds a closing brace when you type an opening brace. I've used editors that do that and I really like that feature. But it doesn't seem to be a feature of your plug-in. It's not a big deal. It's just something that I'm used to having.
