Let me to know why single '>' char terminates php section!

Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010
VS.Php 2.9 for Visual Studio version 2,9,2,6354.

The syntax coloring works until the first '>' char. Help me please how to solve this!

example:

$db->query("SET NAMES 'utf8'");

The "$db-" looks fine, after then it looks like the php section has ended.
