Whenever I create a PHP project in VS.Php, I get the following message...
"Fail to create project. Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

Just so you know, there isn't anything wrong with my RAM. Upon googling this error message, although I didn't see any instances related to VS.Php, this seem to be a standard error message in .NET.
For a bit more information...
I'm running Windows 7 x64. I'm using the latest version of VS.Php with Visual Studio 2010 Shell. Everything was installed using the web-installer. This problem occurs immediately after creating a project (after the screen that allows you to specify the project name, folder, etc).
I really want to use VS.Php as it's one of my last hopes in finding a solid, reliable and user friendly IDE for PHP.
Cheers

It turns out that VS.Php doesn't like UNC paths. I had my "Documents" folder redirected to a DFS path on our network. As soon as I chose a local path, it worked. This is definitely something that should be fixed in my opinion, or at the least, a more descriptive error message should be provided when a UNC path is provided as a project directory.

I tried creating a project from a network share and didn't see any problems. Is the path to your network share really long?

I have same configuration and get same error when trying to load from UNC (thae name isn't long)

Can you try mapping the share to a drive letter?

I have the same issue and I am using a mapped share. I have a virtual machine that runs a ubuntu stack for the server. This server runs samba so that i can map and access files through my windows 7 64bit native OS.
I have my y:\ drive mapped to the root of my virtual Ubuntu "web" server. I can easily access the files by using, "Open-->Web Site" and then opening the y: drive. This almost suites my need, but I do not get intellisense (due to no user references folder... i think? I am new to VS).
I get the same error as the OP when I try:
1) New --> PHP Project From Existing Code. Selecting Y:\ as the project location recognizes the directories to include, then I click finish with all directories checked, and I get the OPs error.
2)New --> Project in Existing Folder. Same thing happens as number 1.
New --> PHP 5.3 web project seems to create the project without problem, but it always creates a sub directory, even when i un-check "create directory for solution". Therefore it does not see the parent dir which is the web root.
More Info:
I am running a trial version: VS.Php 2.10 for Visual Studio version 2,10,6836,0.
VS 2010 is all up to date via windows update.
Is there a way to have intellisense in my setup? If so, can this only be acheived through user references, meaning can it be dynamic by "knowing" the code base?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Edited to add:
I am using "Pro" version of Win7.
Also this is a custom home brew framework, not sure how that plays into intellisense.

If you download the tool DbgView you can capture traces of the project creation wizard.
To get you going, you can drop the phpproj into any directory. Then you can add the files from the directory into the project.
To do this open the project then click the showall button in the solution toolbar. Then select all the files and folders and include them in your project.
Anyways, I would really like to get to the bottom of the issue you are having. I have not been able to reproduce it.
