Find in files

When I try to use the search option "Find in Files" of Visual Studio, it tells me that the project is empty and there is no files to search for.
Or, if I have some files open in the editor, then the Find in Files will only search amongst files currently being edited.

(of course I have many php and html files in my VS.Php project)

Am I doing something wrong?

    It didn't work all day yesterday, but it seems to work ok now.
    Must have been something wrong with the parser.

    (and it was a local project btw)
