why different licenses?

A bit of theoretical question :)

I've been browsing to get our license updated and realised that now all editions costs the same, unlike previously when a standalone did cost more then the VS edition.

I'm just curious why not make them compatible? For example, at the moment we do not yet have VS2008 licenses, so we are using 2005. So it seems like we would want to get a standalone version. then again, when we get VS2008 it makes more sense to have VSPHP for VS rather then standalone. But i guess the keys wont be compatible.

Why not just switch to one license for all different types of VSphp, since they cost the same nowadays anyway ^_^

just a rethorical question I guess...
